Are all those Craigslist ads considered business opportunity ads? Seems there are some District Attorney’s offices that are going to find out.
Sources tell Cubic Yard that evidence is mounting that a multitude of advertisers exaggerate the income potential for property preservation contractors and do not give a true picture of the the time and expense required to generate the stated “potential income.”
Some humor found it’s way into the information passed on to us though. Seems some of those looking into the potential illegality of the ads are finding use of the word “compensation” appropriate for the ads. The humor is based on the fact that the definition of “compensation” is a noun meaning “something, typically money, awarded to someone as a recompense for loss, injury, or suffering.”
