Abandoned Property Ordinance Up For Vote In Connellsville Pennsylvania

The proposed ordinance concerning abandoned property and vacant structures in the City of Connellsville will be brought before city council for a third time this year at its meeting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. The ordinance requires those owners of vacant or abandoned buildings to register with the city, open their property for inspection, and maintain the structure inside and out for the health and welfare of the public and for emergency responders who may have to enter the property. City of Connellsville Pennsylvania:

The City of Connellsville, located in Fayette County in Southwestern Pennsylvania along the banks of the Youghiogheny River. Originally founded as a borough on March 1, 1806, in February 1909, balloting in New Haven and Connellsville resulted in these two boroughs joining and becoming the first City on Fayette County on May 12, 1911, and currently has a population of 9,146, according to the 2000 census.
